New York City Transit - S500 success

Diagnosys Westford announced today that they have completed FAI (First Article Inspection) for the Bench Test Equipment (BTE) that will be delivered to New York City Transit (NYCT). This is the first BTE to be released for shipment into NYCT against the R160 rail contract. The BTE achieved 100% fault coverage on the complex systems being tested on the Diagnosys S500 BTE.

These S500 BTE systems will be utilized to test the Fuji Electric Door Monitoring and Control Unit (DMCU) and has completed the rigorous and detailed verification and validation process defined by the quality and efficiency goals of NYCT’s Central Electronics Shop ( CES). This achievement was made possible by the Diagnosys senior applications team adapting and achieving the aggressive goals set forth by NYCT that now allows the system to be shipped and installed at NYCT (CES).

This BTE is the latest in a series of systems already delivered and working within NYCT’s repair facility to help support one of the world’s busiest mass transit systems.

Jim Duich, Global Sales Director for Mass Transit says “Diagnosys’ flexible S500 platform allowed us to adapt and customize the needed solution to NYCT’s unique needs.  The BTE will allow NYCT to trouble shoot all aspects of the Fuji DMCU down to a component level."

Diagnosys is proud to continue and build the successful relationship we have with NYCT and its suppliers of BTE.  Diagnosys has supplied BTE to 8 of the top 10 transit agencies in North America
